KEYNOTES Chairman Mimi Priano Keynotes is the monthly PPTA newsletter informing members of current activities and events.
TEACHER COMPOSITION COMPETITION Chairman Michael McGowan Miller All member teachers are invited to enter the biennial Teacher Composition Competition that will be held in the fall of 2012. There are four categories: Primary, Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced. Winners will perform at the December 2012 meeting. First place winners will receive the honor of being a guest of PPTA at the May 2013 luncheon. Compositions are due at the October 2012 general meeting. Certificates. Entry fee: $10 per composition. Limit of two compositions per teacher per level.
PERFORMANCE opportunities for teachers at meetings and recitals allow them to share their knowledge and display their artistry. Teachers may perform at our December meeting and at Sunday Recitals.Holiday music is welcome at the December meeting.
PPTA STEINWAY AND KAWAI PIANOS Chairman: Kim Jamison The PPTA-owned grand pianos are available to members for their recitals at Christ Church. The $200.00 fee includes a $100.00 room rental fee to the church, and a $100.00 security deposit to PPTA (which is refundable if the piano is left in good condition). If the recital is scheduled after 3:00 PM, the church also charges a $25.00/hour staffing fee. Members of PPTA are entitled to one recital per year (Sept. through June) at the above rates. Further recitals may be scheduled for the above charges plus $100.00. Contact the chairman for additional information and requirements. Please do not call the church directly.

Also found here is the membership list, available to the public. The secure section features the current issues of Keynotes, and a downloadable copy of PPTA’s banner, suitable for studio use.
SOCAL EVENTS and luncheons give members the opportunity to get to know one another personally as well as to share ideas on teaching.
FEDERATION MEETINGS provide an occasion for members to meet with the state and national leaders.
SYMPHONY CONCERTS Members may purchase tickets for the MGC (Mellon Grand Classics) series for $20 (Family Circle) and $15 (Gallery). PNC Pops Performance series tickets are $20 (Gallery front half) and $15 (Gallery back half). Prices are good for any 2012 -2013 performances.
