S*T*A*R* stands for “Skills, Theory, Artistry and Repertoire.” Students of all ages and levels are tested in theory, technique, ear training, sight reading, transposition and performance. Teachers are encouraged to enter school-age as well as adult students. All students receive recognition for their involvement each year (Lapel Pin and Certificate), with a special recognition after 3 years (Drape Medal), Level 5 (Olympic-Style Ribbon Medal) and upon Graduation (Senior or Level 11 Plaque).
All teachers are encouraged to use the following brochure when recruiting students to the S*T*A*R Evaluations Program. Simply download the file, print it double sided onto nice paper and tri-fold to finish. [If you do not have these capabilities, contact the Committee Chairman to obtain already printed copies.]
